Thread: New Modem

My old modem is on the verge of its end. The connection disconnects suddenly and all the lights just goes off. It takes a few tap on the head and other treatments before it works again.

So I've decided to change my modem. Can I buy a new modem from the market directly and do I have to go in for a BSNL modem.

If I were to buy directly which modem do u suggest ??

It is not necessary that you buy it from BSNL. If brought from BSNL,

Normal modem - Rs.1000 + tax.

Wifi modem - Rs. 1600 + tax (Also heard it was reduced to Rs. 1200).

In open market it is much higher

Mine is Nokia Seimens C 2110, brought from BSNL.

Try for an exchange if taken on rent !

i too had same problem and i resolder the modem switch contacts now its works fine due to dry solder there will be very small air gap so resoldering will do
