Thread: cant change dns server, yyyyy???

im using a linksys WAG54G2 and it connects by itself (pppoe) but when i try to change my dns server to open dns, it dosent it remains the same

it currently is
218.248.255.212
218.248.255.139

218.248.255.212 IN INDIA DELHI NEW DELHI NATIONAL INTERNET BACKBONE
218.248.255.139 IN INDIA DELHI

You can enter OpenDNS in
Start/ Network/ LAN properties

TCP/IP select
Properties
DNS
208.67.220.220

208.67.222.222
Apply Save.
Wait.....
In this page if you have entered. try to leave them blank.
If connection lost, restore old entries.
Usually another option automatically assign DNS should be seen.

ive tried the exact same thing, but then wen i check in status/connection summary....it still shows the same dns 218.....

I believe you are talking about this thread. If not, please go through. If you want only DNS, try this
