    All of us connect using 192.168.1.2, this is the LAN IP , but a website see us with the WAN IP, which change every time we switch off our modem.This is called Dynamic IP. BSNL gives you one of the free IPs and it changes.

    For your purpose, to access your system as server, they IP should not change every time. It should be static. A static IP will serve your purpose. But BSNL and other ISP charge separately for Static IP. Please check with your local circle for the procedure.

    Hope it helped you.

    @inba
    Mention your modem/model.
    Many have hosted their web sites with BSNL
    Dynamic IP using DYDNS Portforwarding etc.

    there is a service called no ip which does the same thing as dyndns .. heres a guide Prashanth Speaks-Technology and Life: How to Setup No Ip on your computer .. what this service does is , it keeps updating your ip ( which changes often as it is dynamic ) to a free ( or paid if you wish ) domain name like myname.no-ip.org ..
    So using this , and installing WAMP Install PHP 5 Apache MySQL on Windows : WampServer .. and port forwarding Prashanth Speaks-Technology and Life: Port Forwarding In UT300R2U ADSL MODEM ( similar to your modem ) you can setup a webserver and host websites..

    @inba

    You can try hosting your site on a free server and move it to a paid one once you need more data storage.
