No need to wake up till 2.00am. You can automate the process. Try this link.

I use "Auto_Power-on___Shut-down2.04.rar"--recommended
computer starts from hibernation @2:00
auto connect @2:05
disconnect @8:15.
:001_tt2: 15 mins extra no charge...@least at my place they never charged for those 15min.
and how do u start modem
download the software I mention, from any torrent tracker site.
it has option of scheduling to connect to net at a specific time. u have to type passowrd n username there in that software.
it works like a charm...every morning u wake up to see all movies downloaded, without messing up ur sleep :w00t::w00t:

One can schedule the Computer to Auto wake up at a specified time using the BIOS ..........
though this feature depends upon the motherboard make ......... but it's of no harm if such a feature exists in your BIOS setting (this feature may/maynot be available with your motherboards type) .....
just set the time using this feature and keep the system shutdown ..... provided you keep the power-supply on ....... the system would auto-wake up at the specified time ...... ultimately resulting in saving of large amount of electricity .

@supershane4141
try this link. wait.
1. schedule your http downloads(normal downloads) with a good download manager like "IDM or DAP" to start and stop downloads at specific times, say from 2:10-7:50.
2. Use utorrent (has inbuilt scheduler) to download torrents,
3. Create a Schedule in windows scheduler for utorrent, to start it at, suppose 2:10
4. Use some auto-shutdown software like "power shutdown" to restart your pc at 2:00(so that modem automatically gets disconnected at 2:00 saving you from chargeable download).
power shutdown can do the following
5. automate your windows logon so that you should be able to start downloading only by turning on your pc.(use "tweaks ui", its a tool).
- disconnect you modem at specific time
- reboot your pc at specific time
- shutdown your pc at specific time and many more
6. sync your pc time with a good time server,or manually with internet time, watch your download details in bbservice.bsnl.in to check if your downloads are at the same time as shown there(indirectly checking that BSNL server is in sync with your PC or not)
7. use your BIOS RTC alarm(if available in your BIOS),to start your PC from total shutdown state,so that you won't have to wake up to 2:00 to start your PC.
8. Schedule power shutdown to disconnect your modem at 7:50,your can schedule more than one modem disconnection schedules to stay disconnected as your modem tries to connect automatically, better schedule to shutdown your PC at around 7:50.
9.keep your default BSNL connection at start up so that it connects automatically when you log in.(uncheck the box in your BSNL connection properties which says prompt for password, then it would automatically connect without confirmation, there is auto redial in Internet download manager.
so now you have
PC auto start + auto log in + automatic connection to internet + automatic scheduled downloads + auto shutdown = completely automated downloads at night and a good sleep.
only thing you have to do is queue your downloads in the day and keep your pc power cord plugged in at night, everything else is automatic.
Happy downloading.
This process looks lengthy but actually I have tried to make you understand the max I could. I don't know whether this is going to help you or not, but this is the what I have been using for last two years without a single failure.
If any more queries ,ask me.
Power shutdown is a paid version. Is there any freeware or can we find it on torrents.
i dont want to install anything on my pc, i just want the router to disconnect the connection at 7.50am and never connect it after that, i want to manually connect it
which modem do you have?
