Default BSNL giving me 2 mbps speed in 750 plan

i gave application to change my bb plan from home 750 to home 500
the application was given on 27th April.......there was no change in plan till 3rd May....well ...the BSNL portal at 10.240.43.216 still shows home 750 plan but

surprisingly from the evening of 4th May the speed suddenly increased from the usual 32 Kilo BYTE per second to 200 kilo BYTE per second ...... the portal still shows home 750 plan but the speed is now constantly over 1.5mega bit per second........

i think u'll agree that my plan is changed and bsnl has not updated it in the portal... so a as a sensible measure i have restricted my downloads to 2 am to 8am .......... but every thing i download (no matter weather during 2-8am or any other time) it doesn't go into to the "TRAFFIC EXCLUDING NIGHT UNLIMITED"....
    i'll attach a screen shot.....

Check the effective date. It should show provisioned, not future date, open, close etc. It will be nice if you can post the screen shot of My orders.

You will receive email alerts to your BSNL id once you cross the limit. As your portal shows UL 750, your current bill will be on UL plan until they change it to another one.

You can recieve sms and email alerts when you cross your limit. Try this

same thing is going with me too, i have applied for plan change to home750ul on 13th of april. on 1st of may the plan change was provisioned. so the speed should be max 256kbps, but i am getting upto 2mbps speed.

when i asked bsnl cc, strangely, they told me the speed for all bsnl plans is same.
    funny, is int it

i think this over speed which we are getting, will last for few days after plan changed to home750ul. after 1 or 2 months the speed will come down to 256kbps.

    dont know, just guessing :|

what is SNR and .... ? whats the best SNR down and upstream ??

Try speedtest.net for better results. Or a download from Microsoft. UL 750 give 256 Kbps unlimited for Rs. 750 per month.

Please use this link to check all available plans and tariff

    Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

Well I use UL Home 1350 ka plan which has bandwidth limit of 512 kbps. Which means that in a normal scenario I should get data transfer speeds upto max 64 kBps, yet wierdly enough, my connection attains speeds upto like 80-90 kBps which translates to like 640-720 kbps. haha BSNL's stupidness sometimes does pays off! lol
