192.168.1.1 doesn't work there

You cannot use other ID and password as it is wrapped to the land line no. But you can check emails and usage statics as you do with other websites.

Even I faced this problem a few days ago. The router/modem status Page doesnt always opens up when connected to two or more PCs simultaneously. But, sometimes it does. This indeed is a strange behaviour which i have faced with routers of different brands.

Slight correction...! The user ID is bound to the "PORT" in the exchange not the phone number...!

I was having same issue (Not able to access 192.168.1.1 modem/router) earlier but was able to resolve as bellow.

Open the network connections and change the tcp/ip settings. Assign the static ip in the range that was defined in the modem/router. Generally speaking, 192.168.1.10 should work in case of modem/may be for router. It worked for me on my modem SmartAX MT 880.

So assign the static IP to the network card instead of saying "Obtain IP Address Automatically"

IP : 192.168.1.10
Subnet :255.255.255.0
DNS : 192.168.1.1
Connect the Modem/router directly to to PC

With the above config, you should be able to access your modem/router admin page with correct user id/password.

I guess the problem here is not being able to access modem/router status page when connected to more than one pc via a switch/hub.

If connected to only one pc the status page opens correctly.

When connected to more than one pc simultaneously, the status page opens sometimes and sometimes doesnt.

if you have multiple machines.. switch to pppoe mode.. you should be able to access the modem's page no matter how many pcs are connected.. just make sure your windows machine is getting an ip..

No buddy. this problem has not got anything to do with pppoe or bridge mode. I have been using pppoe mode only for the last 3 years. As, i said this indeed is a strange problem. Happens sometimes only.

try this.
1. find the present dynamic IP.
h t t p://www.ip-adress.com/

2. enter in IE address bar in 2nd computer.



3. Does a window open to access the modem ?

4. Other users who get connected to Internet properly, but unable to access the modem settings, can also try &give feedback.
