| Junior Member | I recently got a new Home 500 plan Broadband Connection. I have the username, password and the portal id. Every thing works fine. But, When i tried to look for my usage information at bbservice.bsnl.in BSNL - Broadband Account Management it says "No Usage Records Found For MAY-2009". Why is it said so??? I also tried the bsnl broadband portal, the same problem there too....... How can i see my usage information? Will it be showing my usages after some time???? |

| When was your account activated ? It will usually take 3-4 days to update in the BSNL portal site. |

---- There are 4 sources to check your usage. 2 BSNL portals, 1 BSNL software, 1 Independent software. 1. BSNL - Broadband Account Management , values in KB. 2. BSNL Portal, values in MB, user friendly. 3. Both these sites can be down at times. BSNL sites do not update on real time basis. Today's usage is shown after 2 days. So most of us use a Bandwidth meter. Click here to download. 4. A software from BSNL can help us check the usage without using the portal. BSNL also provides SMS and email alerts when you cross your usage limit. Use this link to register Web Registration for Usage Alerts Under this page, download the web client and use it to check your usage statistics without logging into the portal. So i guess i should wait. meetdilip, those links helped [reps++ to all] But i have some more questions, so guys please help this broadband newbie. 1. I got my connection on 12th, will i be getting the entire 2.5GB limit for this month? or will it be reduced according to days remaining in this month from 12th???? 2. I can't access my mailbox, the account info said i got an @bsnl.in ID. When i tried login at mail.bsnl.in, it says ID and password donot match. Can anyone tell me where it gone wrong. |

[Moderator edit: Incorrect info. The usage will be prorated as per the remianing days of the month. Divide 2.5GB by 31 and multiply this by 20. That will be your limit] 2) The password is by default "password". And, make sure that you enter the ID in the format "username@bsnl.in". If both doesn't work, contact the local exchange and report your issue. They will help you reset your password, if it was changed. Never share this kind of information publicly or to anyone you don't know. Last edited by just4kix; 05-18-09 at 04:31 PM. | |

2. Password is normally password. You can use BSNL Portal and log in using email section on the top after log in. | |

Regarding your mail, please check with the Senior Divisional Engineer (SDE) or at your local exchange. Procedure is correct, it must be some error from BSNL. Hope you mentioned this problem during your visit. | |

But till date they have'nt included the usage before the date when they started to show my usage information at the portal... Anyway I don't want to take any risk. So i account my previous usages too..... Now I am using shaplus bandwidth meter.. Its simply great.. & i love its feature to automatically disable in NU time... meetdilip, thanks for giving me that link.. About the email, its not yet fixed. Do that mailbox is 'essential' for a broadband user??? I mean, do they use to send valuable information to that email ID??? I don't want to use it for mailing anyhow........... | |

As of now, we can manage without the email address. But BSNL may come up with some new facility that requires email. So it is better to check with the authorities. Also, when we exceed the usage limit, a mail will be sent to this email address. Last edited by meetdilip; 05-22-09 at 06:41 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost | |
