Thread: How long do it take if i apply for BSNL broadband online ?

Hey ,
i was planning for a DSL connection in my new apartment in Hyderabad.
So any one can tell me , whats the average time duration for the guy to come to my place and setup the connection if i apply online ?

5 - 20 days. If you are lucky and good at follow ups may be 2 days. I was unfortunate enough to wait for 20 days. Manual application will be much better than online application.

At many circles BSNL not respond to online applications. It is better submit form at BSNL office.

It really depends on how much you pray to God, and how much God responds to your prayers

They may or may not respond at all, so go physically to the BSNL office, apply for the BB and then keep a copy of application and keep approaching they may do it in 5-10 days, If ports are available in your exchange

Back in 2005, i applied online for it. but they never gave us one!!!

It depends where you stay in Chennai they responded to my online request within a day. You may get the connection with in 5 to 10 Days.

Better get to their office and submit the request manually.

You must be very very lucky that BSNL responded within a day. Normally it doesn't happens that quick. For me it took a month (in 2007) to get a new connection. One of my colleague applied for BSNL broadband, its been more than a month, still he hasn't got the connection.

We have a consensus here,

Please submit the application in person.

I had recently applied for a new phone (land line) and a new dataone connection in late march 2009. I got the new working phone (land line) within 4 working days and a new Internet connection in 3 working days.

In my case it takes more than 4 months (in 2007). At first where you are belong from & available broadband port of your local Telephone exchange. When i applied for Broadband that time all ports are enganed to currently used customer(in 2007). So it takes 4 months........... but now in time it take hardly 20 days if the ports are available.......

I applied online for Broadband connection. Waited for six month. No response. Finely I went to the bsnl office. There nobody knew about the application. then I applied manually. After that I got the connection after one month.
