    Default Router, Modem issue

I am using a standard bsnl smartax mt882 modem and am trying to get a wireless router added - i have airlink 101 ar325w.
I have connected the modem to one of the LAN ports in the router and am able to get the connection going in the desktop.

the router ip is 192.168.1.1 and i have changed the airlink to 192.168.0.1 - am able to connect to the router from the laptop but not internet.
