    Exclamation C2110 Modem Problem

It has been 8 months since I got the BSNL Broadband connection. Since then I have changed my modem for 4 times with the exchange because of the faults in modem at the regular interval of 2-3 months. The fault occurs is that all the lights of my modem blinks one-by-one and error 678 is displayed. This is due to modem problem. Please help me by telling how to protecct my modem from such faults.

One more thing whenever I call someone or I receive call the link gets broken and again i have to redial the modem. Please help me regarding this too.unk:

You need to have a splitter in the circuit. This is shown in the figure below:

Important: The voice/data splitter must be at the first entry point of the telephone line in the house.

The Modem C2110 which have the adapter, this adapter is not good. When the all lights of the Modem are blinking the fault from the adapter not from your modem. So you need to change the adapter otherwise the new modem is not working and shows same problem like before.
I dont know you have change your modem with the new adapter or not, if you have change your modem with the new adapter then I am sure that you have the AC Power fluctuation. This adapter cannot handel the Power fluctuation.

My Nokia Siemens C 2110 never gave a problem since it was installed in last Nov. Another user also had to replace the modem 2-3 times in a year.

C2110 (Type-A) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

IF in the ADSL Splitter the LINE
    and PHONE ports are
    interchanged , problem could arise.

Check any Firmware upgrade is required.

see the set up diagram also.
