Question What is SNR & Attenuation ?

I've seen in many post that SNR and Attenuation values determines whether there is telephone line problem or any other problem. But I really want to know what these two words mean and what is the difference between these two.

    Any help ?

    My modem details are

Are these SNR & Attenuation values normal ?
