    you heard that right!!!...

    One new guy in this forum called Shefeekz posted this url and i find it quite interesting and dangerous fact..


    guys, those who took high speed bb from bsnl and not UL schemes will suffer..cause any inteligent hacker can hack out the BB from your account and your bills will reach till your knees..


    so better be port-ed and use some password changes if on bsnl bb...cause its really head breaking fact...

    So according to his article those who use the BB in Dial-Up aka bridge mode have no problem, only people who use it in PPPoE mode have to worry about it.

    its d case where u switch on modem and it gets connected automatically, no need for any dial - up etc..

    Yeah I have read this article many no. of times earlier as well ................... although not on the very same site mentioned but on someone elses website ........
    and yeah what is states is true ........... but now since due to port binding you can't use someone's elses account ............... and it applies just to PPPoE users as they have their password stored in the router itself .............
    it's a simple way of accessing someone's elses(or your very own) computer via internet and make file transfer etc. and you can also see his shared documents as well via this and infact hack him using Telnet,http or ftp protocols by opening various ports in his router .

    How it works is they access your modem and use the default id and pass usually admin and admin or something similar. So if you change your password by going into the modem page by going to 192.168.1.1 you can save yourself. To access 192.168.1.1 sometimes you have to change the TCP/IP settings.
