Exclamation Is there any download limit for BSNL 500c plan????
Hi guys,

i'm using bsnl 500c plan.One of my friends told me theat he got bill of Rs.10,000 since he exceeded the download limit of 40gb(including nighttime free usage). is thre any limit for 500c plan, because i have nearly reached 60gb this month and worried about this thing. can anyone help me.

Download Limit For 500C Plan = 1.5 Gb day time with unlimited Download Night Time ie. 2.00 am to 8.00 am

1.if you have 14digit portal Id and password
(to be obtained from exchange)

2.check your usage at
BSNL - Broadband Account Management
or at
BSNL Portal

3. See the summary on top.
chargeable units shown .
You will be billed less 1.5 GB.

No its 1.5GB for 500C and 2.5GB for 500C+ also 2.5GB for 500 apart from night unlimited.If the thread starter feared of exceeding 40 GB in night unlimited period,there is no reason to panic.Its unlimited during 2 to 8.

as can be referred from the BSNL broadband site .........

ajai5777 is correct.

There are three Home 500 plans:
a) A plain Home 500 plan
b) Two combo plans: Home 500 C and Home 500 C+.

But everybody refers to them as Home 500 plans or Home 500 C.

- Home 500 has a download limit of 2.5 GB
- Home 500 C has a download limit of 1.5 GB
- Home 500 C+ has a download limit of 2.5 GB.

hi guys, i downloaded some 70gb in one month...
i heard there's a limit of 60 gb for downloads in 500C+ plan during unlimited 2-8am hours.....
has anyone got xtra bill for this kind.....
please reply.....

Unless you cross the 2.5 GB limit during non free hours, you need not pay extra. You can download as much as you can. A few users fall prey to fact that we need to switch off and on the modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 am to avail night unlimited. In their case, they exceed the 2.5 GB limit and end up in paying extra. Otherwise it is safe to download unlimited during 2.00 am to 8.00 am.

With an average speed of 200 kB/s, it is possible to download 4.12 GB per day during the 6 hour window. So make your own calculations.

He meant kick, not kix. And don't forget, if you download 4GB, you will be uploading almost 1GB and BSNL charges for both upload/download.
