    To achieve maximum speed in torrents, you should use port forwarding.

    Please mention your modem - model and make

    try this link

    You can also try portforward.com and select your modem.

    Please mention the broadband plan you are using.

    How much speed are you getting in http// downloads ?

    If you are using Home 500 or Home 500C then maximum torrent speed you will get during the night free hours is around 200kbps.

    True. Some download managers show exaggerated values for speed. They just want to show that they can increase the speed. Please note that you will never get anything more than your plan speed. But we can optimize to get the maximum speed.

    I would like to differ. I get speeds around 220-240 kBps for some well seeded torrents with my port forwarded.

    @Thread starter (mainak2990)

    Make sure that port is forwarded, as meetdilip has already said, and make sure that you choose torrents with good seed-to-peer ratio.

    @brodbnd and @dhaneshv

    I suppose it's not 200kbps or 220-240kbps instead it is 200KBps and 220KBps-240KBps ...........
    if this is not the case then your torrents speed are slow as well ............

    195kb/s is good for a connection , it means your ports are open , from there on , it depends on the torrent you download ( no of seeders etc )

    Even when we have good no of seeders, if their speed is less, it will affect us.

    Not always. You can get speeds of that range with a "well-seeded" torrent with a really good seed-to-peer ratio. I am just meaning that it is not always so.
