01: Please mention the modem/router model you use.
    02. Do you connect to Internet using a dialer /
03: details about error 769 given below:

    ERROR 769
769 - The specified destination is not reachable.

This error should only occur if you are trying to connect to the Internet or remote server
via a PPPoE (Point-to-point protocol over Ethernet) link.

A PPPoE connection is often used with DSL service,
but is almost never used for a dial-up connection to the Internet.

    Check your network connections
    - if you show all connections (Start-> Connect to ->
    Show all connections) make sure
that your dial-up are listed in the 'dial-up' section.

This error may also occur if you are attempting to establish a PPPoE connection via a network card that is not enabled (or properly installed).

The Error 769 is commonly found to occur when the "LAN is not enabled".

The LAN Card has to be enabled by following the steps given below:
    i) Go to Desktop.
    ii) Click "My Network Place".
    iii) Select Properties.
iv) Click "Enable the local network".

    If the problem persists,

Start > run > cmd >ipconfig/all, please post the screen shot.

Write down the present values and change according to this link

seems like a virus/spyware acting which is disabling your local area connection adapter automatically.. check your computer for virus/spyware..
