I am a broadband user for last 1year,was using home250, I changed to Home Combo500 in the last month (confirmed from portal and also ensured from SDE).My only problem was that my adsl cuts frequently,so as adviced by our lineman I applied for change of my phone code no,it changed 5 days back but took away all the facility like STD.
So now I am worried that weather my plan is also changed?because I download like hell(~3gb from 5 to 8).
I cant see the usage using the older portal.New portal provided by SDE has not opened still.

any suggestion friends?

if you got IP as 117.xx.xx.xx and obtained the
14digit portal Id and password as password
check in http://bbservice.bsnl.in

if still old IP 59.xx.xx.xx check in old usage site.
old userId and passsword .

if you could access Internet with OLD BB user ID and PW with the new telephone number plan may be also Home 500 C. .

To check the usage, there are more than one method. One of them should work for you.

First check your BSNL email ID. If you have crossed the usage limit, it would have received an email stating so. If not, you are safe. What do the portal show ? Under my orders, check the status of your plan. It will confirm your plan.

Do not depend on BSNL site to check usage. Most of us use a bandwidth meter to keep track of the usage. Click here to download.

my IP is like 117.xx.xx.xx
no, I cannot access the net using the old ID & password
my old bbservice portal shows 791MB upto 25th may
my new password and username for login into net was provided by the SDE which works fine, but the portal ID provided by him is not working.....

You may want to confirm your portal ID again with the SDE.

I think that there is a bit of confusion in your post. You mean that you are able to use the internet, but not able to view the usage. Right?

Day free usage will be on pro rata basis approx 300MB
Night usage free.

If no usage is shown in old dataone usage portal,
above conclusion may be correct.

Try again with 14digit usage portal id provided to you. at

User name and portal ID are different. You need portal ID to check usage and user name to connect.

1. Checked the email to confirmed the usage limit is exceeded (Your main concern)

ok guys problem solved.
Today I again visited SDE and got my portal ID.
unfortunately the ID provided to me earlier was wrong,SDE expressed regreat for this,Just now I have checked my usage,its well inside free download limit and still my plan is 5OOC.thanks to all fpr providing different solution.
