Default BSNL broadband connection failure

I have recently taken up BSNL's broadband connection. After being provided with ITI modem, I have tried to set up broadband connection numerous times, but have failed to connect since(It did connect once, but remains elusive since). I did search the forums and have adopted all suggestions given below, yet in vain:

1) open your web browser and type 192.168.1.1 in your URL bar
2) Type admin for user name and password
3) Select Advanced - Wan from
4) click on add
5) enter your PPoE user name and password given from BSNL
6) Save/Reboot

Can you guys suggest any vital step to follow?

in step 4, did you enter vpi/vci values as 0/35

Yes. All the VPI/VCI rows are removed except 0/35.

Default Gateway Value should be 192.168.1.1 in TCP/IP setting.

Adsl Mode = G.DMT

ADSL Type = ANNEX A/L


Try above settings.

By default gateway, are you referring to Primary and Secondary DNS Server values? Where can one modify the adsl type and mode? Thanks.

If you had specified the modem/router model number , suggestions could have been made in more detailed manner.
Usually members don't know , the level of
computer expertise of the the thread starter and
give brief instructions.

ITI modem could be DNA 211 or DNa 211_I wi fi router.

If either model, please see this link for a step by step instructions,for setting the unit. watching the screen shots Enter USERID without @ bsnl.in
The pages will be similar . Confirm
The little I know about Dataone Broadband Services offered by BSNL

Para two: If still problem

START RUN type cmd check ok
A new screen will appear
type ipconfig /all ( *note space after ipconfig)
Post as annexure the data you see. or copy/paste here.

if you still face problems , post a screenshot of the WAN Page where you entered all this info

Thanks mate. The issue has been resolved now.

I had an issue with the long wires of the cord. Are you guys having an alternative? The length of the cord is too long and I have my phone connection in hall. So everyone is complaining. I have tied the wires with a rubber band type equipment, but not entirely satisfied.
