    You may find this helpful....

Automatic rebooting of router at 2 AM and 8 AM

You can try this software: Imran's Broadband Helper Utility

    Question

    @ mohan and @ dilip:
Thanks a lot for your replies.. but what im in need of is a manual script that would work in conjunction with the 'Jdownloader' software....
The key is: There is a not a fixed time or duration at which the router is to be reset.. the Jdownloader software that queues up the files is the one that decides it..!
Hence the script that we type in will be executed by the software automatically whenever required... and none of the scripts referred are working....
    Please assist

Please try this. I think you can use Auto hotkey and make this an exe file.

Install and configure "Imran's Broadband Helper Utility".
then configure your Jdownloader to execute "C:\Program Files\BroadBand\BroadBand.exe" /reboot command, whenever you need your router to reboot.
(Make sure, "Imran's Broadband Helper Utility" is already running when above command is issued.)
You can see the result of this command in the application log file.

thanks for the tip... but can you please give me step by step instructions on working with this software..? i created a shortcut for the application with the /reboot command line to test it and it does not work...
besides.., the jdownloader software has only the following options and not the option of executing an .exe file....

    The reconnect methods offered are:
    - Live header/curl
    - external
    - batch
    - CLR script
can you please try this software for me and put up a solution that works for you.. i would be grateful!

First configure the software as guided by member @limpu.cool here (Ultimate Night Usage Manager.).

then create a batch file, say Reboot.bat file with contents
    Code:
    "C:\Program Files\BroadBand\BroadBand.exe" /reboot
(Make sure, "Imran's Broadband Helper Utility" is already running when above command is issued.)

then schedule this batch file from your Jdownloader.
(I have tried this method with USDownloader, shall try with Jdownloader also after a few days)

Note: the software must be configured properly before you try this.

Thanks to all you guys there. Though I'm posting after quite a long time, I follow this forum closely as far as I can. Meanwhile I changed my plan from Home 250 to home 500C Combo plan.
I started using JDownloader a few weeks ago, and it seems to be a good software. The only problem is I'm on Bridge Mode (i.e I need to connect every time using user id and password). Using batch files "disconnect.bat" and "connect.bat" in JDownloader doesn't work since JDownloader executes these batch files in between one download interrupting it and restarting it all over again. Since I download from rapidshare as a free user in NU 2:00 to 8:00, this doesn't help me in anyway.
    Please help me out by:

    1. Suggesting a reconnection script or batch file for reconnecting my Nokia Siemens C2110 modem. (I'm not particularly confident in using it in PPPoE mode, nor do I intend to since I don't want my modem and computer to connect to internet the moment I switch them on.)

    2. A general guideline in using JDownloader (though this may not be the correct place to request one as per the forum rules)

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks to the thread starter, karthik316_1999. Would love to hear from you too.

We can set reconnect using the dialler itself. No need for extra batch file.

Control panel > Network connections > Choose you dialler > properties > Options tab > check the box " Redial if line is dropped "

You can also set redial attempts and time between redial.
