    Default is open dns useful??

    when i use open dns their is no increase in net speed and sometime my net gets stuck (link constant) why is that??

    are there any suggestions for it....i live in ghaziabad!!

    DNS helps to resolve URL to IP address only. The quicker this is done, the faster the page will load. DNS does not play any role after that. It will neither speed up file downloads, nor slow it down.

    Consider it like this, Open DNS is just a door which is easy to open. How fast you run after that (download) has no connection with the door.

    Not only the imageshack.us blocked, there are several others website which has blocked by the open dns.

    I was able to see images posted in Imageshack by some users. I am using Open DNS (Not into an argument. Just shared my experience).

    I use Open DNS. Just browsed ImageShack® - Image Hosting . This site is not blocked.

    i think opendns is really useful.. atleast for me.. probably because the DNS servers assigned to me by bsnl is horrible.. the imageshack website opens for me (using opendns ) ..
