Make sure after formatting you install all the required drivers for NIC, if you can explain in detail what you meanyt by network connections, whats the scenario over there then we can help you better.

Please mention if you use a dialler to connect to internet.

    1. If using a dialler

You need to make another dialler after formatting.

    2. No dialler, can access internet just by switch on the modem

There is nothing you need to do unless there is a driver CD for your modem.

Does it mean that you use a dialler ? In that case, you can create a new dialler and use net as normal.

Still to confirm : Any CD for Modem / driver in use

if you connect modem to PC using LAN port then no drivers are needed.you can make another dialer by going to new connection wizard(start--->all programs-->accessories--->communications) & selecting appropriate options(it's all very clearly explained at each step)(just choose "setup my connection manually" & then "i use a broadband that requite password" options).

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

typically LAN cards are detected automatically in the newer windows versions..you just need to remember your bsnl username/password
