Thread: problem with torrent download

Hi I am using bsnl broadband connection(256kbps). My problem is once i add torrent file to bittorrent for couple of minutes every thing seems to be normal.Download speed touches 180kbps and upload speed 20kbps.But after some time when about 50% of the download finishes the speeds suddenly drops to 0.1--0.0kbps and download halts there.Please give a solution.

When it happens, disable the firewall and try. A restart without firewall may also help. Try with another torrent client. utorrent will be a good choice.

AFTER 50 % download THE TORRENT STARTS SEEDING ....
DOWNLOAD thru uTorrent and not bit torrent
RIGHT CLICK torrent
set DOWNLOAD LIMIT ----> UNLIMITED
and UPLOAD limit ---> 1 kbps
and bandwidth allocation--> change from normal to high

Decreasing the upload speed will also decrease download speed. And Bandwidth Allocation is a feature only useful to prioritize torrents.

decreasing upload doesnt effect downloads....
i just downloaded torrent with 202kbps down and 1kbps up

thats only on private torrents i guess where you need to maintain some sort of SHARE RATIO
