Thread: problem in configuring wireless internet connection with WA3002-g1 modem and Vista OS

Hello folks,

I am facing issues setting up wireless internet connection in my laptop , configured with Windows Vista Home premium SP1 OS and BSNL modem WA3002-g1.
I am able to access internet seamlessly with ethernet LAN cable. The modem is configured in router mode( as soon as I plug in the LAN cable I am able to access the internet).
The problem is that the system is not able to set up an internet connection via wireless. It gives a "local only" connection with the wireless network which it says is an "unknown connection"

Any help in this regard will be very much appreciated.

running same modem,same windows and on wireless

Switch on Wi-FI of ur laptop
Connect to ur wireless network
then
Go to network and sharing center
->manage network connection
SETUp new BROADBAND connection
Type username and password (of BSNL Broadband)
connect .......

Actually, I wish to have my modem configured in router mode itself and the wireless network should be automatically detected...like LAN in which the LAN settings are already fed into the modem.
PS I am operating with my modems pppoe enabled.

change ur ADSL router setting to <(always on)> setting.....
if u have used net on lan
then restart modem then connect thru laptop..as u can connect ony on 1 computer at a time
