Default Some Doubts about BSNL Broadband

Hello All.

I have couple of queries regarding BSNL Landline Broadband Modems

1. Which of the modem is best (if taken from BSNL).
2. Are we allowed to buy modem from outside (retailer). If yes then which of the modem will you suggest? Considering Warranty, USB, WiFi, other features ? Budget (Rs3000 Max)
3. Will introduction of 3 G have any effect on Landline BB Speeds ?

Thank you.

1. When buying from BSNL, you don't have much option. They will supply which they keep in stock. I have Nokia Siemens C 2110. It seems to be a good one.

Wifi enable - Rs.1600 + tax
Without wifi - Rs. 1000 + tax

2. We can buy modem / router from open market. The only issue is cost will be a bit higher than what BSNL provides.

If taken from BSNL then there is no option of choice, they will be providing what they have with them.

Yes, If price not a matter of concern then its better to go with modems/routers available in the market, sine it will be a quality product compared to what being provided by bsnl.

The brand which you can look for:

1). Linksys
2). Netgear
3). D-Link

3G has nothing to do with landline, BB, or speed. It will be on mobile networks.
