Thread: 500 c connection

i have a bsnl 500 c connection.they say that therz free download ranging from 2 am to 8 am....but i fear i am being charged for downloads upto 2.30 am....because of this i cannot schedulde my downloads in bit torrent......now wat can i do to solve this??? please help me out friendzzz!!!!

To avail night unlimited, you need to switch off the modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 pm. ie, start and end timings should be within 2 - 8 slot.

All you need to do is disconnect a reconnect after 2 AM and again disconnect before 8 AM and if you again need the connection, reconnect. There is no need to switch off the modem. The disconnection process is to be followed to be on the safer side, although even if your connection keeps going all the time, they would not charge you for anything between 2 & 8. I have faced a few instances where I forgot to disconnect after 2 and then again before 8 and it just went on and on but there was no charge for bandwidth used between 2 & 8. So dont get tensed...

on PPPoE mode for disconnection u need to switch off.
for newer connections (with 117 ip) the system keeps checking every 30 mins whether its chargeable or free time. so even if u do not switch off, u will be charged only upto a maximum of 29 mins and then the system will log a new session.
