Arrow Download is ok .. Upload is very poor

Hi guys ..
]

i still don't / cant figure why my request to open a web page takes time..., but after it gets loading .. it loads fast..

so i decided to check my up/down speed and found that my up speed is nearly 10-20 % slower than my down speed...

why is it happening ?

i used speedtest.net

is there a way i can improve .. i think if i correct my up speed ( sending request to the server to load the page ) , i think i can boost my page loading / request time a little better ..

one more thing

i use mac filter for my wifi connection .. so that only my known devices can conenct ..

is theer any security features to restrict access to my router thru lan cable to the router thru some mac filter ?

if i am wrong .. please correct me...

You can switch to openDNS for faster URL to IP resolution. This will (or may) increase your page loading.

For wireless security, I recommend WPA-PSK-TKIP. Please read these:

Did you compare in LAN/ethernet mode ?
whether web pages were opening fast ?

Please mention your modem/model/make.
And post ADSL data showing Mod selected SNR/ATTN
line speed.

it is supposed to be so & that's why it is called ADSL where A stands for asymmetric meaning download rate will always be greater than upload rate.btw your SNR margin for upstream is low.it should be greater than 10.maybe you need to get your line checked by BSNL for noise.

as per your modem settings you are already using G.dmt mode so i don't think much can be done there.make sure no phone is connected before splitter or try removing phone or splitter & directly connect line to modem to see if some improvement happens.

can you try a change of Modem power supply? If that is Noisy, perhaps it can effect the SNR value. your local JTO office can do a swap. also we need to Analise the cause of low SNR with not much of attenuation. please do check and remove additional phones if any, before the splitter. you may add them after the splitter anyhow. let use see if it could improve.
