    Default how to share internet over the LAN of type 2 modems ?

    i gotta problem here i guess i recently RMAed my earlier modem(type 2) for another type 2 modem just 2 days back. Thing is i cant share internet to my friend the new type 2 modem has 4 lan ports and its name is "citi" its model number is "DNA-A211-I". Please help me connect internet for him and me .WE have 1 BSNL modem ie type 2 here in my home and another Linksys switch in my friends home that is 100m away so we totallt have 2 switches . I also need a good messenger(dedicaye to LAn only plz) other than outlook messenger either a cracked one or freeware but no trials plz.

    1 more thing ithat we noticed yesterday only one of us could connect i have home UL750+ plan also will the same bandwith be shared i.e. 30/2=15 kbps or will the bandwidth be equally shared please help

    WE have 1 BSNL modem ie type 2 here in my home and another Linksys switch in my friends home that is 100m away so we totallt have 2 switches .
    ITI-DNA A211-I has 4 Ethernet ports so you can directly connect 4 computers from the router, no need of using any switch, just run another RJ45 Ethernet cable from the routers 2nd Ethernet port to your friends computer.

    ya the bandwidth will be shared between you and your friend equally.

    make sure that u are connecting using PPPoE mode and not Bridge mode
