    Angry DSL Frequent Disconnects..!

    Hi Friends,
Its has become really annoying that my DSL connection gets frequently disconnected.Im using BSNL for the past 1.5 yrs and it hasnt happened before. I've complained many times and the lineman checks and says that there is no fault. The Static in the phone line gets rectified after checking and the DSL connection seems to work for a while but surfaces in no time without any static in the phone line. Could it be the problem with the Modem, Virus/Trojan , NIC ?Please help me with some info.

    Billplan - Unlimited
    Modem - WA3002G4
Win Os- Win Xp Sp3 (P4 3.0 Ghz)
    AV/FV - Norton 360

    Regards,
    Cupie

Alrite..I've updated the DNS with the above mentioned. I was Obtaining server Automatically. Will that make any difference ? I dont think so.. if yes please explain.

No avail buddy...Im still getting kicked off...! Usually I have to reconnect to establish a connection & if Im getting Error 678 , I usually do the following to get it woring

    >Repair the LAN
    >Disable/Renable LAN
    >Switch off the Modem and Power it back up after 30 secs

According to the Customer care the prboblem lies with the line. I dont think there is any problem with the local setup near my pc.

    Any other suggestions ?

Disconnections mainly due to BSNL error or improper modem settings. Still it worth trying from our side.

    @cupie
    Modem - WA3002G4
    1.Post from Statistics ADSL data,
showing mod selected SNR Attn line speed etc.
    http://i22.tinypic.com/2wd905f.jpg

2.Uncheck ADSL2+ from DSL page and
keep GDMT T413 G lite and Bitswap enabled.

    3. In Modem menu in Management
    Disable client tr_069 and "SOAP"
    if option available.
