Default Do i need bsnl router if i have my own router for wifi?

Friends 2 querries
1) i am getting new BSNL 500 Plan and i have my personal Netgear Router WGR614v7, so do i have to rent / buy BSNL router along with its modem or should i have to just rent / buy modem of BSNL and this router of mine will work for wifi??

2) If suppose 1st i go for 500 plan say on 1st july and then on 10th july i go for a plan change, will the plan will be changed the next month or i have to use 500 plan for 3 months only as per the minimum 3 months condition and then only be allowed to go for plan change after 3 months??

Regards,
Vishal

What if i want to upgrade it later on to say from 500 plan to 750 UL plan?? Does the plan change happens immediately the next month or again have to wait for 3 months?

I go my BSNL BB on 19th Dec 2009, I applied for plan change from startup 250 to 500C (benefit 1. I will pay around Rs.50 less 2. night u/l available in 500c 3. day limit 1.5 GB instead of 1 GB in startup 250) on Jan 8, 2009 and the same is effected from 1st ?Feb, 2009. So there is no 3 months restriction for plan change as per my assumption it is applicable for surrendering the BB connection i.e. you should take BB connection for a minimum of 3 months plan change can be applied any time and will be effected from the subsequent month.

Default Bsnl broadband conditions

Hi Vishalkishnani :

The plan change only starts from next billing cycle provided that you have applied for plan change around 15th to 20th of each months (provided that there are no governmemnt holidays except Sunday). They will work only on Monday to Saturday.

Call 1500 or 18004241600 (both are tollfree from BSNL mobile or landline)

or

call 12678 (toll free, but can be dialled only from BSNL landline) for more details.

1.You need an ADSL modem from Bsnl either on rent or outright purchase.
You can use NetgearWGR614 V7 to connect 4 computers in LAn mode
and use laptops in wifi mode within range.

2. All tariff plan changes are applied in say this month, and will be effected from 1st of July normally.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.
see FAQ also.
