Post BSNL HOME 500c PLAN UPGRADATION

We all know how expensive is the broadband in india... and we all wish for plan upgradation...

Currently I'm using the BSNL HOME 500 plan...

No matter how worried I'm with the speeds offered when compared to other countries, still i like to persist with BSNL.... The reason is simple, if any ISP is to boost the plans, it will be BSNL to do it first...
(Of course BSNL HOME 500 is the best plan in the country at the moment...!!!)

Now the real matter, suppose BSNL is going to upgrade the plans.... How do u think they are going to do it??? They sprang up a big surprise when they announced the HOME 500 plans...
I still remember getting thunderstruck when i came to first know about it....

This is my personal suggestion, hope, dream for the BSNL 500 plan upgrade....

    New bandwidth: 4 Mbps
Night unlimited: Still there, maybe reduce it to 4hrs....(4am to 8am)
    Cost:same
    Free calls: same

BSNL GODS.... PLEASE HEAR MY PRAYERS......

As citizens of a developing country, we deserve this....

Comment on the proposed plan upgrade folks....

Hmm. I am OK with the speed - yeah, I know it is pathetic when compared to international standards - but I would rather have them give me more usage than speed. Both will be sone pe suhaaaga.

    My suggestions would be:

    a) All limited plans: increase speed to at least 3 mbps max, increase usage limit by 75%, keep NU period same or increase it to 10 PM to 8 AM.
    b) All unlimited plans: keep cost same, double the speeds at the minimum, introduce a 2 mbps unlimited plan.

Hey guys, dont you know maths???????

At the present practical rate, you can download some 4.5GB in 6hrs.... i.e around some 750Mb/hr....

Now at 4Mbps, your speed will be doubled, i.e 1500Mb in one hr, means 6000Mb in 4hrs....

As per your 2mbps (10pm to 8am at present speed), you will get 7500Mb in 10hrs...

With 4Mbps in 10 hrs you will get 15000Mb.....

So taking into consideration the computer load also, I will adopt 4Mbps with 4hrs unlimited....

I'm talking in the sense of heavy downloading like torrents...

For any plan other than unlimited plan, you can get this rate of download. Most convenient plans are Home 500, 500 C and 500 C+.

i have a 500 plan. But can only manage to download at 30Kbps, unlimited. Not more than than which is equivalent to around 100 Mb an hour. So which plan can get me unlimited faster download ?

It's difficult to get full speed without using any download accelerator for BSNL....
Get a good download accelerator like Download them all for firefox or IDM etc....
Another way to get full speed is to use torrents.....

That is true for all ISPs, not just BSNL.

Yes, It's true for all ISPs.............
Even then you can get full download speeds from good servers like that of Microsoft or Apple even without using accelerators............
