Default not working but excess bill

I have been using BSNL broadband since last 3 years wtih 250/- Rs. plan and have been getting regular bill with broad band rent only and normal use only.
For nearly more then six months the broad band is not working satisfactorily and many times during the day it remain closed for 2-3 hours or some times more and have complained to local office as well as at ahmedabad office on 1504 and everyone says to contact someone else and was not able to get it worked continually and was always told that there is line problem which is to be repaired. I contacted CGM MR. Satpal Singh on 15/06/2009 as one of the staff memberrs told me to do so, then now the staff has rectified the problem and now to some extent its working properly.

But since the interrupted working of broadband I have been getting exorbitant bill.

In fact I would rather say that the BSNL is not much worried about the customers harassment.

There is no such thing as customer care in BSNL.

    Your IP starts with 59.*.*.*.

Assuming that you are posting from your own connection

    - This means that your connection is not port binded
    - Anyopne who knows your id and password can hack into your account and use it

The thing to do is to change your broadband password and make it really strong. Also make a complaint to BSNL and ask for port bound connection - assuming that it is available in your area (you have not mentioned your town).

It is universally acknoweledge that all BSNL dynamic IPs starting with 59 are from older exchanges that do not have port binding in place. This is not necessarily correct but 98% true.

New exchanges with port binding have IP addresses as 117.*.*.*
