Thread: Require PPPoe Dialier Software

Hi,
My dialer software LanRoad PPPoe Client has been corrupted. Whenever I load from CD in Microsoft Vista in my laptop, it says either program is corrupted or not correctly installed.
Can anyone please provide link for downloading the latest version (I guess its 1.1.0 or similar). The version available in Bright Echo website site is not working.
Additional info:
I use BSNL broadband Modem Siemens C2110 (Wired)

The link takes me first to the software.informer site from where I get a Download button. When I click the button, it takes me to the BrightEcho site where I get the following:

Latest version: 1.0.2
Release date: July 08, 2004
Language: English
Download the file.

This is not the version I am looking at (1.1.0.1), can you please help?

What is the use of this software. Currently I am in Bridge mode (Thanks to BSNL) and use a dialler configured using Windows XP. Please let me know if there is any benefit using this software.

I simply want to connect to internet using my BSNL Dataone broadband using Siemens 2110 modem. I thought Dialer software is essential to connect to net. Is there any alternative method also to connect using same broadband connection?

I use Windows Vista on my laptop.

I have the same modem. I connect using create a new connection in Network connections (control panel).

Simply click create a new connection > connect to the internet > Set up my connection manually > Connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and password

Here we go CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK and SHARING CENTER




SELECT BROADBAND (PPPoE)




GIVE YOUR USER NAME, PASSWORD AND CONNECTION NAME AND CLICK CONNECT. you are done.
