Default How to change the MTU in dataone(UT300R2U)?

I have a problem opening some certain sites. While searching
on google , I came to know changing the MTU may solve the problem.

os : windows xp service pack 2
router type : UT300R2U.

I can't find any option to change the MTU value in my modem.

please help .

MTU option will be in internet connection settings. Before trying MTU, try Open DNS

1. In WAN settings uncheck "Bridged" and select ppp/PPPoE
In the page where you enter UserID ( without @ bsnl.in ) and pw
MTU box may be available.

hi mate , I am using Ppp over Ethernet , not bridged mode so I don't have
to manually connect to the Internet.Sorry I did not mention this before. :P

Please provide me with information how to change the dns with my Router.

There are two versions of Ut300r2u Old and new .

Changing DNS is a simple process. You can always switch back to previous one.

So the other options you mentioned in your first post do works?

I read somewhere in the different site's forum these options change only
registry values only but the modem's MTU does not get affected.Sites such as
speedguide.net shows the unaffected results.

please confirm this.
