Angry D'Link DI-524 and UT Starcom 300 R2U Portforwarding problem

My problem is that I have a the following setup…

    1. UT Starcom – 300 R2U modem cum router
    2. D’Link DI – 524 Version B4 wireless router

So now both the routers are driving me crazy , and I need a solution to make my life less miserable. I am providing the screen shot of both D’link and UT setup (Status, WAN and DHCP)…I donno if LAN is needed. But please lemme know I will upload it…my connection is BSNL home 500 Unlimited.

With the current setup I have the connections running …I have a laptop and a desktop connected wia LAN which allows me to connect both comps together and do file transfer, but now port forwarding is turning into a nightmare.

As far as I have read online some advice some advice to put the starcom on bridgemode and some advice to turn the Wireless router into Ethernet switch… the latter I don’t know how to do … the bridgemode failed … and the current setup is working…I have earlier portforwarded 300 R2U for utorrent, etc. But now I am simply gobsmackked ..please help.

P.S. ok... i guess i am not allows to post screen shots till i am 15 posts older.

If you have BSNL new UT300R2U
No option for PF In Advanced settings.
( No Virtual server Port triggering etc )

    ONLY DMZ available. enable it.

If you are using a Dialer ( wan miniport ") connection All ports are open.
Use AV and anti spyware and good firewall applications.
Now try PF in the router.

i Do have a virtual server option in my UT starcom through wich i used to portforward... thats how i used to do it... and there is also an option for DMZ but i have never used it before ...could u please elaborate on that, its asking me to assign an IP with this discription "DMZ(Demilitarized Zone) is used to allow a single computer on the LAN to be exposed to the Internet."

Presume you have the old model. TRY only the UTstar modem first.
    Then add the router.

Port Forwarding Utorrent on the UTStarcom UT-300R2U

If you are on Dialer Mode PF options not available.
Enabling DMZ type your LAN address

You should specify which application you need to PF and port number etc.
Should also go through the guides mentioned in earlier posts.
