Thread: Can we access internet on BSNL WLL phone ?

Hi everyone.

I had one doubt. Can we access internet thru BSNL WLL phone ? I have BSNL WLL phone. I see one port (parallel?) in it. is it for Internet access ? is this allowed ? are we charged for phone call (phone bill will be affected?) ? Please throw some light.

I am not sure about your plan and model. A friend of mine is using his WLL phone to access 144 Kbps unlimited net connection @ Rs. 250 (including phone rent) per month. Please check with your local exchange for similar offers.

yes the speed will be 144 kbps on paper but actual speed will be around 40-50 kbps. Its good for browsing but not for watching video's or downloading large files like movie or watching you tube etc..

True. He says he hardly gets 15 KBps, mostly 5 - 6 KBps

its faster than a dial-up or a GPRS. its similar to accessing the net from Reliance/TATA/Virgin CDMA phones. Only difference is that its unlimited for 250 per month.
