Thread: BSNL bill for 750 UL plan :(

I took a 750 UL plan connection in April.....

Will Fixed monthly charges are taken into consideration for 750 UL plan????

Can anyone explain, I am really suprised to see ...so much amount.... I thought BSNL was cheap

I think it is Rs. 750 rent, Rs. 750 one time advance + Rs. 1000 + tax for modem.

Please check with the accounts section. I took it as modem + rent + advance. You need to call account section and report huge bill. They can correct it in a minute's time.

Here is the bill in detailed:

722/- for :
Rent for mode: 69/-
Dateone UL 750+ plan : 653/-


other 1500/-:
installation fee: 250/-
modem deposit : 500/-
security deposit: 750/-

Fixed monthly charges: 204/-


From next month I would be expecting only : 204/- + 722/- as the bill

Is that correct?

Your modem is rented. So the next month your bill will be:

BB Charges = 750
Modem Rent = 60
Voice calls = (as per usage but assuming 0)
-------------------
Sub total = 810
Service Tax @ 10% = 81
Education Cess @ 3% on service tax = 2.43
------------------
Total = 893.43

under ul 750 + plan monthly phone rent is free - see bsnl.co.in - dataone tarrif

from the information provided so far, the following conclusions are made. Please clarify in case any of them are not correct.
1. U have taken 750 UL +
2. Your connection was installed earlier to 1st April
3. Your BB was installed on 5th May
4. U have taken modem on rental plan
5. For voice plan till BB installation, U were on default plan
6. As per my knowledge only type I modem is provided on rent. But u seem to have been charged rent for type II or type IV modem. (i.e. 80 p.m. instead of 50 p.m.). Pl confirm if u have actually got a type II or type IV modem.

Based on the above assumptions the break-up of your bill is as follows,
Fixed monthly charges : 180(for april) + 180x4/30 (for May) = 204
BB Charges : 750x27/31 = 653
Modem Rental : 80x27/31 = 69

One time BB Installation charges : 250
Refundable deposit
for modem : 500
for BB : 750 (one month charges)

Form next month your monthly charges would be
BB: 750
modem rent 80
total 830
tax 83
total 913
please note that under UL 750+ thre are no free voice calls and all voice calls are charged at Re.1 per pulse. Hence the above amount would increase by Rs.1.10 per call for the number of voice calls that u make from this line.
