well your theory on ADSL is absolutely right , its not supposed to be the same , but i have personally seen UL 750 plans having 32KBps i.e. 256kbps upload speed.. i guess this is probably because of the TRAI terms and conditions..
Not true. I can show you the UL 750 Speed from Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test
Download 32KBps Upload 56KBps. Starting IP 117.

My Upload speed is also more than 30KBps for torrents compared to 27 KBps download speed.![]()
Upload speed used to be more than the download speed when I was using Home 750 ul plan. Now I am using Home 500 C+ plan and the upload speed is only near 15 kB/s. Few weeks before it used to above 54 kB/s and the ping value was near 400 ms. Starting IP 117.

can anybody tell wt is download speed in UL750 plan BSNL.
I'm stuck between 15-25 KBPS....in Home500c+. Its mostly around 17KBPS.
Will bsnl not upgrade their plans ....
I'm in bridged mode so no port forwarding is required.
I dont think old users can reach that speed since max upload speed is 256 KBps. For some reason that upgrade has not been implemented for old users(before port binding came along). However new users hit such speeds, rarely imo though.
Have you tried TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net
thats_me look at your ADSL GUI web page the uplod speed. What dose it shows to you. If it shows to you 256Kbps then you never get high uplod speed.
Yes, I know. It shows 2048 KbPS down and 256 KbPS up speed. Thats why I said that new users may get higher speeds. Cause some of my friends have higher upload displayed in the modem config/status page.
N.B. you dont need to connect to internet to view this page just make sure the link is stable. Got to 192.168.1.1 and view status or info page. There the upstream and downstream speeds are shown.
^^^ can u pls post a screenshot of the ADSL GUI page ?
I'm not complaining its the speed that I get and will keep getting.
Its not possible for me to get higher than 32KBPS upload speed.
You need specials modems for high upload speeds. Ask for this kinds of modems when you purchase from BSNL.
(As per BSNL[SDO] official from our telephone exchange)
@josin:You mean by changing modem I can get higher speeds. Please tell me more.
home 500C
After all the optimizations here is my speed.

The Upload and Download speed what we see in the ADSL Web GUI page this is the seetings from the DSLAM. The port where your ADSL connect with the DSLAM have this speed. Untile the speed will upgrade in the DSLAM Port you never see the change in the Upload and Download speed in your ADSL Web GUI page.
You dont need to change your ADSL.
