    Default Home500 isn't activated still

    hi friends,
    I applied for home500 plan on 30th June & the SD Engineer told it will be activated on 1st, but when i checked yesterday it was showing Home 500 : Open & not Home 500 : Provisioned, still the Status Is Open. Can anybody tell me why is this happening,

    I doubt whether plan change happens that quickly. They have to do the final changes at Bangalore NIB. It usually takes 5 to 6 days. Please keep checking.

    Plan change takes almost one week. Since it is scheduled, check the effective date. It should be OK in a day or two. Do personally confirm with the SDE after it is changed to provisioned.

    i also got my plan changed from 250 to 500. i submitted application on 29th june and it was written on portal that my 250 plan is closed, 500 plan has been dated to future, effective date 2nd july. I enjoyed full day download on 1st july as it was under no plan that time, i was getting speed around 180kBps. Now new plan has been activated and is written "provisioned" beside that. it took only 2 days for my plan-change. Contact ur SDE there, he might tell u something certainly.

    Well. It took nearly a week when I changed my plan. I applied in the last week. You may get lucky.

    If you want to know what this happen then I think it will good if you contact with SD Engineer again or the person of DE. They can solve your problem. Not possible from here to telling you why this is happening. Because here are almost all BSNL Broadbad User not the SD or DE or anyone who have the authority to access to the Server.

    There will be an effective date. On that date, it will be provisioned.

    Even if you see " provisioned ", it is wise to confirm with a technical person. Someone like Senior Divisional Engineer (SDE).

    As per BSNL policy, plan change is effected from the first 1st of next month, provided you have applied before 25th of the month.

    Since application was made on 30th June, plan change would be effected on 1st August.

    Just to add for new users who will refer this thread, plan change need not take place on 1st even if you applied well in advance. Follow ups are required.

    @Varad

    Nice to hear that your plan happened without much headache as it normally do.

    What I've indicated is as per a written policy directive sent from BSNL Hqrs. New Delhi some six months back which I happened to get a copy of. I am not sure if the policy directives have been modified in between.

    However, I'd reconfirm with the exchange if I were u. (as meetdilip said)
