so many people have been using Open DNS and many of them find it usefull.

I have been using it for more than 10 months and have no problems with, although wheather its any better than BSNL or not , i don't know, but its safer since it even blocks some worms from calling home etc etc.

i agree wid wat rsen said, you obviously don't know what you are talking about.

BTW has anybody has tried the DNS service offered by Commodo ?

Please make sure that you cannot use your ID and password from your friends' to connect to internet. Yours may be a case of hacking or wifi misuse. Most of use Open DNS and are happy customers.

none of the DNS(comodo or openDNS working for me)

(i think this is because of viruses running in my PC)

- check if u have entered the dns server ip correctly
- where have you entered it ?

well if ur in PPPoE mode, then u have to enter in Router also.

Select automatically find DNS. Check whether you can connect those sites.

I am not convinced. I switch between open DNS and automatic (BSNL) DNS (from time to time) and I find no difference.
