Log in into the premium account before downloading.
1. Are you by mistake using the " free user " links ?
2. Set no of connections (in download manager) as 8 or 16. Any number greater than one.
Did you change your DNS server after downloading half the file ,yes then reset it to default as rapidshare is very peculiar about DNS and will not resume.
This is a common problem with Rapidshare Premium Accounts.
First tell me are you using a shared premium account or not? If it is not a shared account, you can change your settings by logging in to the premium zone. To be able to resume and pause downloads using any download manager, you need to go to the settings page in your account and check the "Direct Downloads" option and save your settings.

Check the highlighted box and save your settings. You will be able to Pause/Resume downloads using any Download Manager.
Now, If it is a shared account and you are not the primary owner of the account, you may not be allowed to change settings because it requires a password which is only known to the primary owner.
In that case, there are two solutions to your problem:-
1) Use Rapidshare Manager. It is a download manager only meant for Rapidshare downloads. You will be able to Pause and Resume downloads using it even without checking the "Direct Download" option. But, the download speed will be very slow. I dont recommend this tool at all.
2) 2nd solution is a bit tricky. I have found this way as I am using a shared premium account. I have tried this only with IDM (internet download manager). So, if you are not already using it - Download IDM first.
Now, If you start downloading from Rapidshare Premium account directly using IDM, you wont be able to Resume/Pause. You need to enter your rapidshare username and password in the download manager. Copy the download url from the "Download now" button on Rpaidshare page and paste it onto the "Add Url" option in IDM. Then Enter the RS username and Password there. Like this:
rs.jpg
But, this way, you will need to enter the username and password everytime you start a download. The tricky part comes here:
Rapidshare download links are of the format:
http: //rs(random code).rapidshare.com/folder number/XXXXX. (file extension)
Now, in IDM:-
go to Downloads Menu -> Options -> Site Logins
Create a new Site login for IDM to remember.
In the server path option:- Use Wildcard character(because the actual url cannot be determined as random numbers are generated there) along with Rapidshare url.
rs2.jpg
Enter "rs*.rapidshare.com" in the Server Path Text Box.
and enter your password in the password text box. and Click OK.
You are Done. you will be able to download multiple files from RS premium account with Pause/Resume feature in Internet Download Manager without having to enter the username and password again and again.

I think using Rapidshare manager will be a good idea. It is simple and easy to use.
You bought a premium account. How much did they charged for that.
You can configure IDM for using RS using the following:
In IDM (Internet download manager) go to options> site logins
click new, in the box select http:// and enter following
rapidshare.com
username
password
again click new select http:// and enter
*.rapidshare.com
username
password
Now just queue up the downloads and have fun downloading, IDM will resume the downloads using RS premium account.
^ I also posted the same above.
