    Unhappy Help with WA3002-G4 modem

    Its only been 2 days since i got my UL750 connection and already i am ready to give up... since yesterday evening the dsl light on the modem is on but the internet light is off... i am able to connect my laptop to the modem via wireless but no internet.. im using vindows vista home premium.. pls help... what does this indicate..? is my modem recieving internet and not transferring to my lap.. or is internet not available at my modem end also..??

    Im goin crazy.. pls help somebody.. i have tried resetting the modem and entering the username and password agailn but no use...

    Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig/all, please post the screen shot.

    does the internet light not blinking mean dat i am not recieving any net facility from bsnl..? the dsl light is on..

    Please disable IPV6 in Network settings page.
    Check tcp/IP
    Properties
    Select Obtain Ip address automatically.
    DNS present entries or ( OPENDNS)
    208.67.220.220
    208.67.222.222
    Apply Save .

    post output of
    1)ping 192.168.1.1 or ping 192.168.1.2
    2)ping 208.67.222.222

    Default No Luck

    Tried what u said essbebe but to no avail..


    when i ping 192.168.1.1 and i get replies of time taken data etc


    but the third one it says request timed out

    1.
    Did you try LAN/ethernet mode ?
    2
    Start All programs/ accessories/ communications
    Network connection wizard.
    ( Earlier you might have done Wireless network wizard )
    3.
    Start/ Network/
    Show all connections
    select LAN
    properties
    4.
    Network settings page will appear.
    On top your ethernet card will be listed.
    click configure
    Check enabled or not .

    5. Do you get the wifi icon showing connected speed
    and signal strength , in the task bar. ?
    This will appear whether your modem/router is set up or not.

    so it does connect you to the internet right? cause you get the 117.x.x.x ip in your command prompt.. do you have a firewall installed?
