Thread: [HELP]regarding download

i am using the bsnl home750 plan for past 3-4 yrs but frm past 3 months i donot get download speed more than 50kbps(that too with DAP).earlier i used to get minimum of 150kbps
i thought my old laptop is no more capable so i baught a new pc
with
i7 920
6gb of ddr3 ram
gigabyte motherboard
realtek lan card

but the same problem
NO IMPROVEMENT in DOWNLOAD SPEED

please help me out

dude u r in big misconception that HI-FI configuration will boost up ur speed!! ur speed depends upon ur server, even if u add 12GB ram etc then it wont go up complaint BSNL for it,also mode of connectivity plays important role in speed yes BSNL is sending 256kbps speed to ur home but their network is not capable of carrying those speed effectively to ur home.

Go to speedtest.net, check your speed and please update here. Also try a download from Microsoft and report the speed. Try TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net.

are you talking about normal http download speeds or torrent speeds?
