    Smile BSNL modem

I'm having a problem with my broadband modem its a UT300R2U, the poweron switch is the problem. Going with BSNL's lousy customer care i cannot take risk to replace my modem as it may take some time to so be on the standby i wanted to know which is the best modem in the market compatible in bridge mode with bsnl and how much does it cost and is there a significant speed improvement. I heard about DLINK modems but i dont know their performance. WIFI is out of the question.
The modems supplied by bsnl hardly have any firmware backup nor any website.

Mostly, BSNL have modem in stock. With follow ups you get it changed within a day or two without any investment.
