Thread: Need help regarding Portal ID

can some one please help me what is portal ID and from where can I get that? also which passwd to use check the BB plan that I am into?

Portal ID is a 14 digit no of the format abc99912345678. Please check with your local exchange and ask for portal ID, user name and password. Password is normally password. They normally keep it their record. It will take hardly a minute to recall them.

I think you are the new BSNL broadband customer you will get official letter from BSNL where your portal ID will be mention otherwise at present you can ask your portal ID from exchange.(what dilip said)

the chances are that the letter would never come. so better make that visit to the exchange and get the ID

But i had received letter in Aug 2008 from BSNL.

I too never received any letter. I called Bangalore NOC to get my portal id because at the exchange they kept stalling for whatever reason.
