Default LAN not stable when connect using long ethernet cable

I have a bsnl 500 home plan connection . I am using a D-Link glb802c modem. Recently i have brought a 38 meter CAT 5e+ ethernet cable. But when i connected the cable LAN is not stable , only blinking and showing network cable is unplugged....

I heard that ethernet cables support upto 100 meters...
could it be the problem of cable...
    what i should do????????

    PLS HELP!!!!:48:

Wire could be faulty but try with another shorter cable.

Ethernet is supported up to 100m but it is not wise to try the limit.
