Unhappy Cannot access laptop from desktop

    Dear All,

I am using BSNL Data One BB connection at home. I got the Siemens SL2_141 wireless router, the one with 4 lan ports.
My desktop is connected via one lan port and in my laptop i use wireless. Problem is when i try to access my laptop from the desktop via \\laptop-ip\c$ , i get a pop-up error message which reads "No network provider accepted the given network path." and thats it..i am unable to access the files in my laptop.
But i can ping the laptop ip successfully from the desktop.

Guys, plz help me out get rid of this problem.

    Thanks in advance,
    Troy.

check the firewall settings in both your PC and Laptop also to see if fire sharing is allowed
