As you only have said that when router was changed the connection was perfect, then it directly suggests that get your router repaired. D-Link always has the tendency to loose DSL link in power fluctuatons so try connecting the router to UPS first and try for sometime if still it presists then get to service center.

Mention make and model of the /modem router you use.

ADSL data showing snr attn mod selected line speed required.

    Also:
    Post data for ipconfig /all
    Start
    RUN
    Type cmd
    OK
    new page
    type ipconfig /all
    Copy/Paste here.

check with the old modem and see if the POWER LED also blinks.. it could be the modem issue where it restarts automatically

Exclamation I have the same problem as above

Suddenly from today my router is restarting automatically after every 3-4 minutes. First I thought its a problem with my tel line. But i checked the snr it was quite high (34.5db). And the attenuation was low to 8.5 db. I think thats quite okay. But to my surprise when I switched off my comp and kept the router on the link never got disconnected. And another bizarre thing started happening today itself. My computer time was running mad. I made it correct every time but after restart it got changed. Could there be any link between in those two incidents? Or my pc is infected or there could be a problem from the part of BSNL?

Thanks for your time...your reply will be of much help...Anubhab. Please enlighten me.

    1.Mention model make of modem.
BIOS battery may need replacement .

    options:

    Start system
Press Key F8(or F7) select Safe mode with Networking.
    3.
    Start RUN type sfc /scannow
    keep XP installation CD ready.

    4.
    Can update OS to SP3.
    5.
    Run Antivirus /Antispyware/Malware programs
    6.
Try a System Restore to an earlier date when computer was OK.
