    Default Frequent disconnections

Hi I'm using BSNL Unlimited 500KBPS Plan and since I've got the connection i have been experiencing this problem

    BoardID: 96338W
    Software Version: 1132_061507-3.08L.BSNL_02.
    Bootloader (CFE) Version: 1.0.37-8.7
    Firmware Version: WA3002G4-0021.01
    Hardware Version: WA3002G4 1.0
    Model Name: WA3002G4
    Wireless Driver Version: 3.131.35.6.cpe2.0a.s

And i think SNR values are also fine:

So this happens especially when I am downloading or watching some online streams/ being idle for some time. Then for sometime the net wont respond after some annoying crashes and restarts it becomes OK and this keeps on happening now and then. Hope u understand my frustration. I am using opendns and this is no good for me as well. So whats actually causing the problem?

    1. Did you check the "idle timeout" or "on demand" setting for the router?

    2. What are the SNR values when the disconnection occurs?

    3. What exactly "crashes"? -- does the router hang up? or the browser crashes? is the router or the power adaptor very hot to the touch??

    4. Can you see if it is a hardware problem with your LAN card?

sorry for too many questions, but this will help the experts in answering the query!

Does using WiFi pose any problems for ADSL stability? (in terms of interference or power requirements etc.)

    @dnjkane
If you shift your location with the laptop, and try
    surfing/ download in WIFI mode
Wireless signal strength bound to vary.

    Expected good signal strength usually
within a radius of say 30 or 50 feet
    conditions apply !)

will wait for further inputs here.

Still no luck bro.. Is it the problem with my line?

The problem is that net disconnects and i have to press and hold the refresh key for 1 minute or restart the browser 2-3 times and then it will come back.. Often the browser crashes during refreshing.. Tried 3 browsers and no luck..

Used both Lan & Wifi and both are the same!

Sometimes, some sites work for me, some doesn't load.. I have to refresh it a 10K times to get it loaded

    could be memory problem.
Uncheck all unneeded programs at start up.
    Start run
    type sfc /scannow
( keep your XP OS Cd ready )
will check for changed files. Can take an hour.
    Presume Updated with Sp3.
Also AV and and spybot used.
