Rep Power: 12 | Please mention your modem model and make. PC1 ethernet Lan connection Working Ok. PC2 ---- do ----- not working. Presume you have connected PC2 with same Rj45 cable. QUERY: Quote:
IN PC2 have you created a LAN connection ? Start Allprograms/accessories/ communications/ Network connection wizard 2. If done start /network/ LAN Properties Network settings page . See your ethernet (LAN)card listed . Click Configure. Is it enabled ? Compare with settings in PC1. 3. feedback: PC2: start RUN type cmd OK new window type ipconfig /all Post data.

problem is above. IP.. This is automatic Ip by Windows, Normally appears when TCP/IP obtain IP address automatically is selected. You have mentioned PC1 is working fine with the present modem settings. Check ipconfig /all of this PC1. 2. Then , when you change the RJ45 to PC2 [PC2 lan card is in working condition.] again check the ipconfig /all data. should be same! and should work . 3. Delete the present LAN connection in PC2 Create new one . Start /All programs/Accessories/Communications/ Network connection Wizard. 4. Then in PC2 Start /network/ LAN Status. Support Repair What error message you get.? FEEDback =============================== @nkjskj 5 Quote:

| If you use a dialler or wireless connection the values need to be entered in the respective connection icons in the control panel. You can configure static IP instead of dynamic IP. It will be only a minor change. Enter 192.168.1.25 instead of 192.168.1.2 |

Remove the USB cable from PC2 Connect Rj45 to computer. Postipconfig /all data here. 4. You have IP address problem. DHCP range 192.168.1.1 to say 192.168.1.10 Default modem gateway for USB and LAN will be different. but IP address of computer must be same
