Thread: Downloading speed does not remain constant

I Have problem with my internet connection when i start downloading the speed is 30 KB/Sec but this speed doesn't remain constant . My internet connection plan is 256 Kbps.

I too use a UL 750 connection. Speed will vary between 25 - 32 KBps. It is quite normal. The speed variation also depend on the server from which you download. Rapidshare and other file sharing clients do not give good speed. It will spike to reach 30 - 32 in the beginning and later stabilize to a slower value.

Try a speed test from speedtest.net and post the result. You can also try a Microsoft as their server is among the best one available.
