Thread: no application opens after connecting net....

i'm facing a wierd problem on my pc.....:48:
When i connect internet....i cannot open any application....not even browser.......
but if open browser or any app before it works fine.....
and when i disconnect net...intenet stops but the icon in system tray is still there....on switching off the modem all apps open at once...
also if i turn on the modem before turning pc on the pc hangs for few minutes till ip address is not aquired....
i'm having UTSTARCOM WA3002G4 MODEM....
plz help

Could be a virus problem. Update your antivirus and run a full system scan.

i'm using avast....updated...no virus found
nd one more thing i face this only in bridge connection not in pppoe.....

Delete the present dialler and make a new one

Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig/all, post the screen shot.

Please avoid posting images as bmp. It will be nice to adopt jpeg as it consumes less bandwidth.

If you're using XP hope its Service Pack 3. If not please install it
